St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory high school for young men and women, is seeking a seasonal part-time Assistant Football Coach. The position is expected to coach within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and its Core Values: Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Assistant Football Coach reports to the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities

  • Coach football in alignment with the school’s mission and core values.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of football positions and strategies.
  • Utilize HUDL and film breakdown for game preparation and analysis.
  • Apply effective coaching techniques and skills.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with administrators, parents, and students.
  • Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a high school or middle school football coach or collegiate football playing experience (substituted year-for-year).
  • CPR Certification.
  • Concussion Risk Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • High school varsity playing experience.
  • Experience serving as a strong role model for students.
  • Knowledge of SACHS and the school’s 5 Core Values.

Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of football rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Schedule

  • Regular practice hours: Monday–Friday after school (school days only), 3:30–5:30 PM.
  • Mandatory attendance at all games (weekday and weekend).
  • Mandatory attendance at special activities, including senior night, athletic banquet, parents’ night, and pep rallies.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift sports equipment weighing up to 50 lbs to waist height.
  • Ability to demonstrate plays and drills during practice and coach from the sideline during games.
  • Ability to actively engage in games and events for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about campus and event venues to interact with faculty, staff, parents, and students.

Pay

$2,500 for the season.

Position is seasonal, part-time, and temporary, running from August 7, 2026, to November 30, 2026.
