About the role

The Assistant Football Coach will support the Head Football Coach in developing and implementing the team's training and game strategies. They will also assist in managing the team's daily operations and ensuring the safety and welfare of the players.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of practice sessions and games
  • Work closely with the Head Coach to develop and implement training programs
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and rules
  • Manage team logistics such as travel arrangements and equipment maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other staff members
  • Participate in team meetings and other departmental functions

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Coaching, Sports Science, or a related field
  • At least three years of coaching experience at the high school level or equivalent
  • Experience with youth sports management and player development
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Knowledge of the sport of football
  • Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

Pay

The salary range for this position is $35,000 - $40,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
