About the role

Orting High School, a member of the 2A SPSL, is seeking an Assistant Football Coach to support its co-curricular programs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members
  • Organize and support a solid high school football program
  • Motivate teenage athletes to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship
  • Meet all W.I.A.A. requirements for Washington State Coaching Standards

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • At least 19 years of age
  • Current first aid and CPR training
  • Flexible schedule with immediate availability after school (2:15 PM M-Th, 12:45 PM F)
  • Experience preferred in coaching or participating in football
  • Knowledge of volleyball techniques and strategies
  • Successful experience working with teenage athletes

Skills

  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills

Schedule

  • Work Year: 2026-27 High School Fall Season (8/19/2026 - 11/06/2026)
  • Work Start: Immediately after school dismissal (2:15 PM M-Th, 12:45 PM F)

Pay

Salary follows the 2026-27 OXA Extra-Curricular Salary Schedule Appendix A.

Benefits

Eligibility for benefits depends on hours worked during the last two school years (September 1 – August 31). Coaching positions may not qualify for benefits.
