Responsibilities
- Aid in daily operations, including meal preparation, serving, and sanitation.
- Supervise and train food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen aides.
- Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
- Maintain quality and presentation of food served, adhering to hospital standards and dietary requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies.
- Track and control food costs to meet budgetary constraints.
- Address and resolve food-related concerns or complaints from patients, staff, or visitors.
- Collaborate with dietitians to ensure dietary needs and restrictions are met.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records related to food service operations, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and staff training documentation.
