Assistant Food Services Manager

Overview

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, seeks an Assistant Food Service Manager to support the Food Service Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hospital’s food service department. This role involves providing leadership and mentorship to department staff, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals are provided, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Aid in daily operations, including meal preparation, serving, and sanitation.
• Supervise and train food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen aides.
• Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain quality and presentation of food served, adhering to hospital standards and dietary requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies.
• Track and control food costs to meet budgetary constraints.
• Address and resolve food-related concerns or complaints from patients, staff, or visitors.
• Collaborate with dietitians to ensure dietary needs and restrictions are met.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records related to food service operations, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and staff training documentation.
