Assistant/Floater Teacher

About the role

Scribbles Center for Learning in Bloomington is seeking full-time Assistant and Floater Teachers to support our Infant, Two-Year-Old, and Preschool age classrooms.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, full-time. Shifts available: 7:30am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:30pm.

Pay

$17.25–$19.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Location

1415 Woodbine Rd, Bloomington.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Previous childcare experience in a licensed center preferred
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements as necessary for program quality
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
