Responsibilities
- Ensure daily targets are met, particularly during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is not present, by leading the team and driving sales initiatives.
- Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building strong rapport with members.
- Achieve sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, driving sales initiatives, and establishing a smooth transition into the club experience.
- Congduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals.
- Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention and engagement.
- Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and continuous support.
- Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper certifications, and implementing safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with members, personal training clients, employees, management, and vendors.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions.
- Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
Requirements
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must have a valid Personal Training certification.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting; move about gym floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.
- Ability to access and operate the Company computer system including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, read reports from a computer data base or email system.
