Assistant Filler Operator

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist Blender Operator(s) with the efficient and accurate processing of finished food grade products, on the processing lines, and/or at periodic times.
• Assists with Set up / break down of equipment as needed.
• Check-in ingredients, matching them to the recipe.
• Communicate any discrepancies to the Blender Operator(s), Supervisor/Lead, and expeditor.
• Follows the recipe with no deviations (proper mixing of slurries, etc....).
• Assists with run tests, to ensure product meets viscosity & sensory requirements before filling process.
• Able to learn how to operate and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment.
• Assists with lifting in variety of areas/lines.
• Communicates effectively with peers and FSQA to meet quality standards, efficient processing, including prep delays.
• Able to Identify ingredients – bases, diced vs. sliced, etc.….

Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.

• Operating equipment Safely operate various types of equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts, manual and / or electric pallet jacks. (Plant Certification)
• MUST be LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) Certified
• Miscellaneous Responsibilities Attend Training that is made available in relation to job description.
• Ability to train new staff within the department if needed
