Assistant Feedmill Manager

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Affords support to non-supervisory employees.
• Manages day-to-day operations by overseeing maintenance and repairs.
• Develops and implements a preventative maintenance program.
• Maintains quality control by inspecting and testing commodities.
• Purchases commodities to ensure quality ingredients.
• Fills in for absent employees as needed.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations.
• Models safe work practices and follows safety rules.
• Conducts safety training and monitors workplace safety.
• Assists in developing departmental budgets and manages expenses.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Database software.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to communicate critical safety information and follow safety rules.
• Knowledge of EEO policy and ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Sound judgment and accurate decision-making skills.
• Observance of safety and security procedures and reporting of potentially unsafe conditions.
