About the role
Carolina ASC, LLC in Greenville, SC seeks an experienced and motivated Assistant Facility Administrator (RN) to lead the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This leadership role partners closely with the Facility Administrator and serves as the designated Administrator in the Administrator’s absence. Ideal candidates will bring surgical services experience, team development skills, and a passion for ASC operations, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist with overall day-to-day management and operation of the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Act as the designated Facility Administrator in the Administrator’s absence
- Ensure efficient daily operations, patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation
- Provide leadership and oversight to nursing, clinical, administrative, and support staff
- Promote high standards of safe, efficient, patient-centered care
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency preparedness requirements
- Support appropriate clinical staffing and scheduling
- Help maintain compliance with South Carolina Department of Public Health requirements, CMS Conditions for Coverage for ASCs, and AAAHC accreditation standards
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
- Assist with regulatory surveys, inspections, accreditation activities, and corrective action initiatives
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to staff; support employee performance, accountability, and professional development
- Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and resource utilization
- Support budget monitoring and financial recordkeeping as directed
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and resource utilization
- Promote an exceptional patient and family experience; protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of South Carolina
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, hospital, surgical, or comparable clinical setting
- Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or operational experience
- Strong understanding of patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively lead teams and manage competing operational priorities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
- Previous nursing leadership, ASC management, Assistant Administrator, Nurse Manager, Clinical Manager, or Director-level experience
- Working knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage, AAAHC accreditation standards, and South Carolina ASC regulatory requirements
- Experience with QAPI, regulatory surveys, accreditation, infection prevention, or emergency preparedness
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Experience supporting ASC scheduling, staffing, budgeting, purchasing, or operational performance
