Assistant Equipment Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and make repairs of all golf course maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of Gas and Diesel engines repair.
• Knowledge of two cycle motor repair.
• Participate in a preventative maintenance program on all equipment.
• Changing fluids and servicing equipment.
• Knowledge or understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems with the ability to diagnose and repair issues.
• Able to learn to grind reels and bed knives.
• Able to learn how to check cutting heights and quality of cut regularly and make height adjustments on mowers.
• Maintain and update equipment repair logs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a mechanic or golf course mechanic experience preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Organized and proficient in record keeping.
• Computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Able to lift 50lbs.
• Able to work in a squatting or kneeling position.
