Assistant Engineer I (Entry-level)

About the role

As part of our design and process teams, you will work on water and wastewater projects, including drinking water/wastewater/reuse treatment facility upgrades, conveyance systems, and stormwater management.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in preparing engineering deliverables, such as sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports.
• Work directly with senior level engineering team, providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop.
• Manage data for process modeling and design.
• Attend client and internal project management meetings.
• Coverage with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
• Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
• Participate in fieldwork and site visits (mostly in-state).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering.
• Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT certification.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering.
