Overview Job Bid COS-SUI 20XX-XX-AE ASSISTANT ENGINEER – SIU – Ocean Class Minimum Qualifications Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC LicenseValid STCW with all required endorsements (including, but not limited to Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider)TWICValid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into other countriesCPR/First Aid Responsibilities Minimum Experience: 1 year service as EngineerFamiliarity with Towing vessel deck machineryFamiliarity with PLC control systemsComputer proficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook and Maintenance based programs. Preferred Experience Caterpillar or Wartsila experienceKongsberg Dynamic Positioning system Training Qualifications Expectation: May be assigned to other classes of vessels as necessary Probation: 90 days Compensation: As Per Contract Geographic Area: Lake Charles or Jacksonville Homeport This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and other terms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable union contract.
