Responsibilities ASSISTANT ENGINEER – SIU – Ocean Class Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License Valid STCW with all required endorsements (including, but not limited to Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider) TWIC Valid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into other countries CPR/First Aid Minimum Experience 1 year service as Engineer Familiarity with Towing vessel deck machinery Familiarity with PLC control systems Computer proficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook and Maintenance based programs. Preferred Experience Caterpillar or Wartsila experience Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning system Training Expectation: May be assigned to other classes of vessels as necessary Probation: 90 days Compensation: As Per Contract Geographic Area: Lake Charles Homeport These sailing positions require a flexible sailing schedule provided within the agreement between Crowley Towing and SIU for the East of Panama based vessels.
