ASSISTANT ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Serve as Assistant Engineer on Ocean Class vessels
• Operate and maintain engineering systems and machinery
• Familiarity with towing vessel deck machinery and PLC control systems
• Utilize computer proficiencies in Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance-based programs
• May be assigned to other classes of vessels as necessary

Requirements

• Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License
• Valid STCW with all required endorsements (including Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider)
• TWIC
• Valid Passport – must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions restricting entry into other countries
• CPR/First Aid certification

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of service as Engineer
• Preferred experience with Caterpillar or Wartsila engines
• Preferred experience with Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning systems

Schedule

These sailing positions require a flexible sailing schedule as per the agreement between Crowley Towing and SIU for East of Panama-based vessels. Homeport is Lake Charles.

Pay

Compensation as per contract.
