Assistant District Manager

About the role

The Sarasota Herald - Tribune is seeking an Assistant District Manager to work within their Distribution Department. This role is crucial for ensuring customers receive correct and timely newspaper deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and deliver newspapers to carrier prospects not currently under contract.
• Deliver newspapers to areas not yet covered by contracts.
• Work with current contractors to improve service metrics.
• Assist current contractors with any questions or concerns they may have.
• Learn the beginning steps of becoming a District Manager.
• Participate in training sessions covering warehouse operations, email, paperwork, site-specific applications, and software.
• Learn how to set up and run the distribution center, load and unload trailers, stack out carrier products for delivery, and assist in other areas as needed.
• Operate in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide quality customer service and represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, retailers, or the general public.
• Show sound judgment and discretion at all times.

Requirements

• Comfortable navigating and delivering newspapers throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift hours with weekends and holidays required.

Pay

$17 per hour
