About the role

The Queens County District Attorney’s Office seeks an Assistant District Attorney with significant felony trial experience to join the Hate Crimes Bureau.

Responsibilities

- Handling the vertical case load of felony cases involving investigating possible bias cases and prosecuting of hate crimes. - Working extensively with members of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force. - Often dealing with incidents that garner significant media attention. - Conducting community outreach to impacted groups. - Educating members of the public and law enforcement on hate crime prosecution.

Qualifications

- Possess a J.D. degree and be an active member of the New York State bar in good standing. - Have at least 4 years of experience as a prosecutor. - Substantial grand jury and felony trial experience. - Experience in investigations, including drafting search warrants. - Talent and proficiency with PowerPoint presentations. - Strong organization, written, and oral skills.

Pay

Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $107,000 to $138,000.
