About the role
The District Attorney’s Office for the Sixth Prosecutorial District is seeking an Assistant District Attorney. The successful candidate will prosecute a wide range of criminal offenses, including drug crimes, violent crimes, and homicide cases. The office takes an aggressive approach to prosecution and community protection, offering daily challenges and the opportunity to advocate for vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and other crime victims.
Responsibilities
- Prosecute criminal offenses, including drug crimes, violent crimes, and homicide cases
- Serve as lead counsel in jury trials
- Advocate on behalf of victims, including children and the elderly
Requirements
- Licensed attorney (preference given to candidates with five or more years of prosecution experience)
- Ability to appear as lead counsel in multiple jury trials
- All experience levels are welcome to apply
