About the role
The Assistant Director oversees the day-to-day functions and operations of the WorkGuide vocational program, including staff supervision, program auditing/billing, case assessment, and assignment. This position carries a partial caseload as needed and oversees components such as Intake/Enrollment, Billing/Reporting, Employment Network/Ticket to Work program, Employment Services, Transitional Services, and the Potentially Eligible Program. The role assists in developing new vocational services and community outreach, ensuring all vocational programs work together to provide a seamless continuum of opportunities for adults, youth, and students with disabilities.
Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record that meets the Agency’s “Clean Driving Record Policy.” Flexible hours may be required.
Responsibilities
- Respect and maintain customer confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a positive and caring attitude toward all customers and staff.
- Ensure program compliance with regulations and staff training requirements of all oversight agencies.
- Assist with new vocational program development in accordance with DePaul’s goals to broaden the scope of Vocational Services.
- Provide leadership and evaluation of vocational programs throughout DePaul to ensure continuity of services.
- Interface with ACCES-VR participants, employers, families, school personnel, and professional, medical, and psychiatric personnel.
- Carry a partial caseload as needed.
- Oversee program reporting and billing.
- Provide supervision and training of assigned WorkGuide staff.
- Cross-train to cover all management responsibilities.
- Develop, implement, and oversee services specific to contracts through ACCES-VR, OMH, SSA, and other relevant funding streams.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services.
- Minimum of five (5) years of human services-related work experience.
- Two years of experience working in an ACCES-VR funded program preferred.
- Supervisory experience necessary.
- Clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul’s personnel policy.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and perform basic office tasks such as typing, filing, and operating standard office equipment.

Pay
Pay range for this position is $26.75–$28.25/hour based on experience.
