Location: 850 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, Connecticut, 06109

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the payroll department.
  • Ensure payroll for all centers and related entities are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Supervise and coach Payroll Representatives, offering guidance on policy and procedure as issues arise.
  • Collaborate on special projects, such as facility audits and extracting historical payroll data.
  • Oversee data interfaces to ensure smooth transfer of payroll information (i.e. benefit carriers).
  • Assist with compliance reporting, including EEO requirements.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation audits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll management experience in a multi-state, multi-site organization.
  • Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to guide and develop team members.
  • Proficiency with ADP Vantage; experience with Workday Payroll is a plus as we transition systems.
  • Familiarity with PBJ (Payroll-Based Journal Reporting) and payroll processes in health care environments.
  • Understanding of scheduling and Time and Attendance platforms such as SmartLinx or comparable systems.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and compliance, including job classification codes and their application.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a steady, supportive approach under pressure.
