Assistant Director of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Captures plans for the total care of each resident that aligns with physician’s orders, regulatory guidelines, and facility policies.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff and oversees their implementation.
• Participates in admission decisions and visits prospective residents as necessary.
• Attends daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel issues, and resident complaints or concerns.
• Safeguards the provision of compassionate, high-quality care and nursing oversight through adequate staffing, absence of odors, cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and maintenance of optimal resident functions.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN/LVN in the state of practice.
• Required to have either an Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Prior experience in long-term or acute healthcare is preferred.
• At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience is required.
