About the Role

Join Crestwood Terrace, an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) with 126 beds providing patient care to the mentally ill/behavioral health population (ages 21 and up). As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will support the Director of Nursing (DON) by training and orienting new staff, supervising teams, and contributing to specialty program development. This leadership role is key to team success and retention. The facility offers new Activity and Behavioral Health programming, a close-knit team culture, and consistently high patient satisfaction ratings.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a significant support to the DON
  • Train and orient new staff members
  • Supervise and lead nursing teams
  • Develop and implement specialty programs
  • Lead initiatives in restorative care, wound care, falls prevention, pain management, and other specialty areas
  • Provide strong leadership for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 1-3+ years of experience as an ADON, Charge Nurse, or Nursing Supervisor in an ICF or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting (ideal)
  • Experience leading specialty programs such as restorative care, wound care, falls prevention, or pain management
  • Strong leadership experience with CNAs
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or willing to submit an exemption (per CMS & IDPH rules)

Pay

Salary is based on years of experience and credentials.

Schedule

Days/On-call, with schedule fluctuations and weekend coverage as warranted by the center.

This center is managed by Transitional Care Management, providing comprehensive services to healthcare centers across Northern Illinois and the Chicagoland area, including SNFs, ICFs, and Behavioral Health Service centers.
