Requirements

• Current, unencumbered, active RN license
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare
• At least 6 months of rehabilitative and restorative nursing experience
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices
• Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Criminal Background Check and Physical/Drug Screen

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in managing nursing service department
• Maintain up-to-date reference materials
• Develop and implement nursing service organizational structure
• Report and recommend changes to policies and procedures
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services
• Plan and implement resident discharge plans
• Monitor and report on facility quality improvement and survey reports
• Manage staffing and monitor absenteeism
• Handle complaints and grievances
• Train staff on universal precautions, in-services, and safety standards
• Develop and implement in-service training programs
• Participate in budget preparation and planning
