Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON

About the role

This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring quality resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires dependability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to multitask and collaborate in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support floor staffing when needed
• Oversee resident care, including MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
• Manage nursing staff: hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date resident documentation
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants
• Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures

Requirements

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
• Strong technical skills and proven leadership/management experience
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
