Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team! This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring quality resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires dependability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to multitask and collaborate in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs by stepping in to assist floor staffing when needed
• Oversee resident care by contributing to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
• Manage nursing staff by hiring, training, evaluating, assigning, and delegating nursing duties based on census and budget needs
• Ensure accurate documentation by reviewing and maintaining up-to-date and accurate resident records
• Develop care plans by collaborating with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans
• Support staff resources by ensuring timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Uphold infection control by conducting assessments and implementing effective infection control measures

Requirements

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
• Strong technical skills and proven leadership/management experience
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
