Assistant Director of Fitness

About the role

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking an Assistant Director of Fitness responsible for assisting our Director of Wellness with daily operational support and the management of our personal training, group fitness and fitness attendant teams. In addition to a comprehensive fitness area, our busy wellness center includes full spa & salon operations, aquatics department and Café.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the fitness department's daily operations
• Propose ideas to generate revenue
• Effectively supervise all fitness team members
• Oversee fitness programs, services, hours of operation, reception desk and locker room areas

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful management oversight and operation of full-service fitness facility
• 4 years' work experience in an exclusive fitness facility or luxury spa, or related
• BS degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or related field
• Prior experience managing luxury fitness and/or spa operations
• Ability to motivate others and have an outgoing personality
• Excellent communication skills, excellent time management, and organization skills
• Flexible, able to work nights, as well as some weekends, and holidays
• Bachelor's degree in health sciences, or related, and nationally recognized certification from professional fitness organization(s)
• Prior experience in the hotel or private club industry is preferred
