Assistant Director of eSports

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Esports player-related activities:
• Oversee Esports students.
• Practice and competition planning and organizing for all teams.
• Set up community engagement/service initiatives according to Trine’s Esports strategy.
• Afford plans to achieve goal performance.
• Oversee Esports students’ academic performance.
• Set up teams for competitions.
• Handle all aspects of the team within university, conference, and club policies and procedures.
• Accompany players during tournaments and events.
• Manage day-to-day Esports arena-related activities:
• Keep the arena materials functional for our players, guests, and visitors.
• Support the operation of events and tournaments in the arena.
• Keep the arena ready for visitors.
• Schedule and organize community initiatives in the Esports arena.
• Support the Director of Esports in the recruitment strategy.
• Participate in on-campus recruiting activities.
• Identify quality Esports students and recruits.
• Operate livestream production:
• Use Vmix to produce Esports and non-Esports broadcasts in the Esports arena.
• Create livestream assets.
• Manage Esports communication:
• Communicate on different social media platforms.
• Create content for social media platforms.
• Assist with Special events of the Academic department.

Required Education & Experience

• Experience with live stream production; familiarity with vMix software is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting gaming PCs.
• Familiarity with graphic design and digital asset creation software; Canva proficiency is preferred.
