Assistant Director of Catering & Convention Services | Town and Country Resort San DiegoWe’re looking for someone who knows that “flawless event” is not a personality trait—it’s a team effort.Town and Country Resort San Diego is looking for an Assistant Director of Catering & Convention Services to help lead one of the most dynamic meetings and events operations in San Diego.With 671 guest rooms, extensive meeting and event space, and a property that knows how to host everything from intimate celebrations to major conventions, this is not your average catering and convention services role.You’ll be the person who helps turn the sales promise into the operational reality—and makes it look easy while doing it.What you’ll be doing:Lead and support the Catering & Convention Services team in executing exceptional events from contract turnover through departure.Partner closely with Sales, Banquets, Culinary, Rooms, Engineering and other operational teams to make sure everyone is working from the same playbook.Oversee event planning, timelines, BEOs, room sets, food & beverage details, client requests and those inevitable “one more thing” moments.Build strong relationships with clients and become the trusted point of contact who keeps their events moving.Coach, develop and motivate the team while maintaining high standards for service and execution.Monitor event profitability, guest satisfaction and operational details.Step in, troubleshoot and make decisions when the plan inevitably meets reality.Help create an environment where communication is clear, accountability is real and great service is the standard—not the exception.What we’re looking for:Someone who is organized without being rigid, confident without needing to be the loudest person in the room, and genuinely enjoys the controlled chaos that comes with large-scale events.You should have:Previous experience in hotel catering, convention services, event management or a similar hospitality environment.Strong knowledge of meetings, conventions, banquet operations and food & beverage.Excellent communication, organization and client-service skills.Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop a diverse team.The ability to juggle multiple events, deadlines and priorities without losing sight of the details.A solutions-oriented mindset and the judgment to know when to solve it yourself—and when to call in reinforcements.Why Town and Country?Because big events are kind of our thing.You’ll have the opportunity to work on large-scale conventions, corporate programs, social events, weddings and everything in between while being part of a resort that continues to evolve.If you thrive when there are BEOs to review, timelines to build, clients to impress and 47 things happening at once, we should talk.Come help us make the complicated look effortless.#Hiring #SanDiegoJobs #HospitalityJobs #Catering #ConventionServices #EventManagement #HotelJobs #HospitalityCareers #SanDiegoHospitality #TownAndCountryResort
