About the role
The Assistant Director of Career Services oversees all career services initiatives, including employer relations, student recruitment, and placement services.
Responsibilities
- Manage employer relations and partnerships to enhance student opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student career readiness and placement rates
- Oversee the recruitment process for prospective employers
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into academic programs
- Provide guidance and support to students in their career exploration and decision-making processes
- Monitor and report on career service metrics and outcomes
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in career services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in career services or related field
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Knowledge of higher education systems and policies
- Experience with career assessment tools and resources
- Ability to develop and deliver training sessions
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
