About the role
Cross Creek Hospital, together with Ascension Seton, is a 196-bed inpatient psychiatric facility with expanded service lines for PHP/IOP programming. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Business Development to expand lines of service by developing and retaining referrals from physicians and other key non-physician referral sources, with a focus on the outpatient program.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, and management to generate referral sources.
- Develop strong relationships with key referral sources and their personnel, identifying new opportunities for partnering and growth.
- Manage leads from referral sources and ensure an efficient admissions process for clients.
- Document all activity in the company's Customer Relationship Manager (Salesforce).
- Work closely with the corporate Consumer Marketing team to ensure utilization of their resources and implementation of best practices in brand development.
- Coordinate with the clinical assessment team on referrals for admission based on the facility's services offered.
- Educate patients, families, community, and other referral sources on programs, services, and amenities provided within the facility.
- Coordinate the completion of the admission process and ensure appropriate resources are obtained.
- Travel frequently within the community, schedule meetings, and develop contacts/referral sources.
- Develop events and educational forums that demonstrate the organization's thought leadership and provide an opportunity to identify potential referral sources and maintain existing referral relationships.
- Utilize analytic tools, such as Salesforce, to effectively plan and evaluate activity to optimize results.
- Represent the facility in professional forums and communicate the mission in all outreach and interactions.
- Create outreach initiatives that will regularly communicate the facility's mission with referral sources through phone, email, e-blast, written notes, events, networking, and other professional activities.
- Provide initial and on-going clinical assessments of patients and manage the admissions process, if appropriately licensed/certified and/or experienced to provide those services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related health or social services field required.
- Master's degree, as it relates to a professional license for clinical assessment requirements of the role, required.
- Four or more years of related experience in a healthcare business development role required.
- One or more years of supervisory experience required.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile, where the facility requires.
- Preferred professional licenses include LCSW, LMSW, LPC, RN.
