Demonstrated Duties

- Effectively relate to student-athletes, coaches, staff, administration, and the University community.
- Participate in and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Assist in establishing and implementing all policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for the athletic department.
- Assist in overseeing all facets of the daily operations of the athletics department.
- Assist in budget planning, preparation, management, and analysis.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating of all staff.
- Assist in all athletic planning and vision, both short and long term.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating all aspects of the program and make changes as necessary.
- Oversee the monitoring of academic progress of all student-athletes as the athletic retention coordinator.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of all athletic department policies and procedures.
- Ensure that proper safety guidelines and standards are maintained.
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of recruitment in relation to the athletics program in accordance with university, conference, and NAIA rules.
- Serve as the department's compliance coordinator, ensuring that all conference and national eligibility standards are met to the strictest degree.
- Work in conjunction with all coaches of the athletics program and Financial Aid Services in awarding financial assistance, specifically athletic scholarships.
- Maintain all recruitment spreadsheets for the entire athletics program.
- Serve as the chief liaison between all athletic teams and Food Services, Financial Aid, and Admissions.
- Represent athletics at all EAB meetings.
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of scheduling, including games and practices, for the Sullivan Center and other facilities.
- Assist in game-day administration.
- Serve as the HUDL liaison.
- Support the university's NAIA Champions of Character program.
- Understand all policies and regulations, as well as all philosophies, of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Mid-States Football Association, other auxiliary conferences, and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Assist in promoting public support for the entire athletics program and all of its constituencies through the development and implementation of a marketing strategy.
- Assist on all fundraising endeavors within the entire athletics program.
- Represent the athletic department and university in a professional manner at various internal and external functions and in working with internal and external constituencies, including but not limited to the media and general public.
- Serve on various university committees as assigned.
- Perform other administrative duties within the department as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
