Assistant Director, Identity & Access Management
About the role
This role is critical to strengthening the university’s cybersecurity posture and future strategic goals. The Assistant Director for Identity and Access Management (IAM) will provide centralized oversight of identity lifecycle processes, enforce access controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, thereby reducing risk to institutional systems and data. This is a campus-based position with the possibility of hybrid work.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer core and integrated identity platforms
- Provide governance and oversight to identity frameworks, policies, and systems
- Supervise and direct the IAM analysts and engineers
- Interface with the Information Security, Research IT, and other UBIT teams as part of portfolio services to ensure proper compliance and continuity of service
- Manage related vendor relationships where applicable
All duties and responsibilities occur in a 24×7 environment; therefore, working extended hours, holidays, or varied hours may be required.
