Responsibilities
- Provides management support to a division director in overseeing all programmatic functions within the Division of Technical Schools.
- Identifies and reviews programs, policy issues, and management issues that cross organizational lines and develops recommendations.
- Covers professional training for career and technical education teachers and staff along with providing direct co-support and co-organization for the New Teacher Institute (NTI).
- Supports the division director in overseeing programmatic operations of the division including Kentucky New Teacher Institute implementation and administration.
- Aids in daily operations of NTI, including participant monitoring, compliance tracking, mentor coordination, curriculum support, and maintaining records, databases, and documentation aligned with state and federal requirements.
- Plans, coordinates, and delivers career and technical education (CTE) professional development programs.
- Assesses CTE professional development needs through data analysis, surveys, and stakeholder consultation; designs and implements diverse training initiatives (in-person and virtual), including workshops, e-learning, and the KY Learning Hub; and supports the development and delivery of NTI programming.
- Manages program operations, logistics, and communications.
- Coordinates scheduling, registration, logistics for professional learning events and maintains a master calendar.
- Communicates requirements, expectations, and updates staff, participants, and stakeholders.
- Engages with internal and external stakeholders to support program delivery.
- Researches and recommends professional development resources and technology.
- Captures and analyzes participation and outcome data.
- Prepares reports (including Perkins reporting) and recommends continuous improvement strategies to enhance program quality and impact.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- Four years of administrative or management experience.
- A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Additional administrative, management, or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
- Primary duties performed in an office setting.
- Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
- This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
