About the role

The Goodnight Scholars Program began in 2008 with 25 scholars. Since that time, it has grown from a partial scholarship into a comprehensive, full-ride scholarship program designed to develop scholars into leaders within the STEM and Education fields. The program currently serves up to 300 undergraduates and is growing to 400 by 2028. The program is housed within the Goodnight Scholarships office along with the Goodnight Transfer Scholars Program. The Goodnight Scholars Program team is responsible for the selection of freshmen scholars and management of their progress from enrollment and matriculation through graduation. This includes financial aid and scholarship requirements, participation, academic eligibility and program completion. The Goodnight Scholars Program team is also responsible for developing and offering a wide variety of program activities for the scholars, including annual retreats for freshmen and seniors, a first- and second-year seminar, multiple professional, service and social events each week, and fall and spring break trips. We also coordinate outreach activities with a variety of campus, K-12, nonprofit and industry partners.

In addition to the core responsibilities of this role, there may be occasional opportunities to take on additional duties. This offers an opportunity to build on your skills, explore new areas, and gain a deeper understanding of the department’s operations.
