Assistant Director for Intervention Services (Mental Health Specialist), Health Promotion
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Develops and implements evidence-informed intervention services.
- Coordinates with campus and community partners for substance use prevention and recovery support initiatives.
- Maintains a caseload of students referred from various sources.
- Monitors intervention services utilization and recommends improvements.
- Facilitates referrals to campus and community resources.
- Contributes to departmental strategic planning and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Delivers educational presentations and trainings.
- Serves on committees related to substance use prevention and recovery support.
General Responsibilities
- Conducts individual intake assessments.
- Manages caseload and maintains clinical notes.
- Consults with and refers to other professionals as needed.
- Utilizes evidence-based clinical interventions.
- Participates in emergency response teams.
- Provides supervision and training for practicum students.
- May supervise Master's level mental health students and/or career-level Mental Health Specialists.
Education and Experience
- Required: Master's degree in relevant mental health area from an accredited program.
- Required: 4 years of post-degree experience.
- Required: License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Indiana or license eligibility upon date of hire.

Pay and Schedule
$72,000.00 - $76,000.00 on an annualized basis.
Standard office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. This position may require some evenings and weekends.
