Assistant Director, Food & Beverage
About the role
The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Starwood Hotels is a critical position where you'll lead and inspire a high-volume, upscale Food & Beverage operation. You'll be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service and quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring smooth execution of services and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage a high-volume Food & Beverage operation with at least $20M in F&B revenue, leading a team of servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
- Anticipate and resolve operational challenges, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and team member engagement, contributing to the overall financial performance of the department.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, to ensure alignment on goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and health.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive Food & Beverage work experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale environment.
- A minimum of 4 years of managing a high volume Food & Beverage operation with at least $20M in F&B revenue.
- Prior experience opening a restaurant or hotel is preferred.
- An expert in food & beverage operations, with a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities (both verbal and written), and the ability to manage a 24-hour operation.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus.

Benefits
Starwood Hotels offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $135,000 - $150,000 annually, along with an incentive bonus program.
