About the role
The Assistant Director will develop and implement a plan for a leadership annual giving program in addition to the Hospital's employee and medical staff annual giving campaigns. In this role, the Assistant Director will develop donor communication and solicitation pieces, write stewardship reports, proposals, and other correspondence to prospects and donors as required for major gift and planned giving cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities, participate in research and development of proposals, identify and cultivate new annual fund prospects for the Hospital to provide the maximum gift.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a leadership annual giving program
- Implement annual giving campaigns for employees and medical staff
- Create and manage donor communication and solicitation materials
- Write stewardship reports, proposals, and other correspondence
- Conduct research and develop proposals for major gifts and planned giving
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing donors
- Identify and pursue new annual fund prospects
Requirements
- 3 years or more direct experience in fundraising, with demonstrated success in annual giving or communications
- Preferably with a health care organization
- Bachelor's degree required
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of donor relations and stewardship practices
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with donor databases and CRM systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
