About the role

The Assistant Director, Creative will be responsible for creating print and digital promotional materials to enhance event presentation, ticket sales initiatives, and brand awareness. They will develop creative themes to carry across all departmental external messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Create digital and hardcopy collateral materials to promote ticket sales and generate specific team promotional materials to increase public image for assigned sports.
  • Meet brand standards in creative ways and promote overall brand guidelines at all times in conjunction with Senior Associate AD and Assistant AD.
  • Works with other internal units to oversee enhancement of brand identity and awareness including supporting the fulfillment of sponsored digital content inventory, planning, and messaging with LearfieldIMG College partners and licensees.
  • Under leadership of Senior Associate AD and Assistant AD, design department publications working with different units to create fresh art and editorial content.
  • Provide gameday digital media support for sports events and other important events as assigned. This includes revenue and nonrevenue generating sports events and the assignments of student intern staff at these events.
  • Communicate with coaches and staff to ensure brand awareness and identity standards are being met.
  • Work with Assistant AD to design creative social media graphics and concepts to assist overall marketing and communications effort.
  • Contribute to overall athletic department social media strategy and ideation with opportunity for larger role.
  • Works well with other units in athletic department to help accomplish common goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industry-standard graphic design software and applications, including Quark, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and basic HTML.
  • Proficiency and comfort working within web-based interfaces and digital platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.

Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
