About This Role The Assistant Director is responsible for providing operational support to the School Director. Working closely with the School Director, this individual will provide support focusing on the educational programs, state and local compliance requirements and quality of delivery of all programs. Managing the schools budget and financial success in order for the school to contribute to the profitability of the company.Hiring, supervising, and training staffOperate the school according to state licensing standardsAssist teachers with development and execution of curriculum and activities that contribute to the growth, education, and development of the children in our school.Purchasing supplies, equipment, food, etc. while operating within budgetary guidelines.Develop community partnerships and marketing strategies.Ensure the safety of the children in our care.Other duties as requestedAt least 1 year of pre-school experience and child development trainingHigh School Diploma and TCC or CDA requiredMust be a team builder, organized and possess excellent customer service/communication skills.Flexible and energeticAbility to juggle multiple dutiesDetail oriented with the ability to plan and organizeAbility to resolve conflictsComputer proficient including Word, Excel and ability to learn other programs quicklyMust pass a criminal background check What We Offer No Nights or Weekend ShiftsEducation Assistance ProgramPaid Time Off and Holidays. What You'll Do Role Responsibilities: PEOPLE LEADERSHIP Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates; Builds networks of external future talentConducts classroom observations, evaluations, and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.Manages team to ensure TLE curriculum is executed in alignment with brand standards;Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop for the futureListens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of actionBuilds and communicates weekly schedulesDaily management of classroom ratiosManages new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulationsBuilds and communicates center schedules to ensure appropriate ratios are always intact and labor is effectively managed to budgetEnsures that all teachers have trainings that are in compliance with State and TLE requirements CUSTOMER FOCUS Leads tours and enrolls with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress and concernsExecutes "parent pleasers"Execution of our Show and Tell App for family communicationRegularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachersEnsures the physical environment and health/safety standards are full compliance with local and state licensing regulationsManages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluationsResponsible for accident/incident reportingMedication managementConducts monthly emergency safety drillsManages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulationsFamiliar with other financial administrative functions including, but not limited to budgets, P&L statement and Labor percentage Requirements Two or more years of center leadership/management experience highly preferred.
