About the role
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, this position monitors activities in recruiting, financial aid, and playing and practice seasons.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with NCAA rules and regulations
- Monitor activities in recruiting, financial aid, and playing and practice seasons
- Provide rule interpretations
- Coordinate department use of the compliance functions of the Athletic Records Management System (ARMS)
- Provide rules education via various methods
- Process various compliance forms
- Serve as the primary office liaison to UAB Financial Aid, UAB Housing, and ARMS
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration or a related field
- One (1) year of NCAA Compliance related experience required

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Communicate effectively in writing
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks
