Assistant Dining Room Manager - Blackberry Mountain

The Assistant Dining Room Manager is responsible for managing and assisting the overall operation of the front-of-the-house food and beverage experience for all guests, including dinner, bar services, events, group services, coffee stations, and pantries.

Responsibilities

• Train and ensure team knowledge and communication of all internal information
• Coordinate schedule needs of staff and daily operations of the dining room (openings, line-up, service, closing)
• Coordinate daily needs of both shifts to ensure proper coverage and guest care
• Manage room set-ups and floor charts
• Conduct monthly china, linen, and silverware inventory and ordering
• Develop and support team and captains
• Support the wine program
• Sustain positive team morale
• Oversee special cleaning projects and monitor service standards
• Manage dinner times and guest seating plans
• Collect guest feedback and handle guest communication
• Oversee daily menu production and corporate meeting functions
• Attend weekly team, group, and all-manager meetings
• Maintain the look, cleanliness, and maintenance of the restaurant
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Supervise Dining Room Supervisors and line-level team members

Requirements

• 2-3 years of operational management or supervisory experience in upscale dining
• Knowledge of wine and spirits
• Computer experience: word processing, spreadsheets, property management systems
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal communication and strong listening skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
• Understanding of property management cashiering procedures and budgeting issues
• Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions aligned with company goals

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart

Work Environment

Restaurant, dining room, bar, wait staff, and kitchen environments. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, and all weather conditions.
