About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Dining Room Manager to lead our front-of-house team in our fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, and/or catering program.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring a high level of customer service and food quality.
- Train and supervise the dining room staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth transitions between service periods and to maintain efficient workflow.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and dining experiences.
- Contribute to the overall success of the community by fostering positive relationships with residents and staff.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in dining room management or equivalent roles.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities.
- Valid Food Handlers card and ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role within a luxury, resort-like community setting.
- Knowledge of food service operations and industry trends.
