About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Dining Room Manager to lead our front-of-house team in our fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, and/or catering program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring a high level of customer service and food quality.
  • Train and supervise the dining room staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth transitions between service periods and to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and dining experiences.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the community by fostering positive relationships with residents and staff.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in dining room management or equivalent roles.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Valid Food Handlers card and ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role within a luxury, resort-like community setting.
  • Knowledge of food service operations and industry trends.

Pay

$59,000 - $63,000 / annually DOE
