About the role

The Assistant Digital Branch Manager supports the daily operations of North Star Community Credit Union's Digital Branch and assists in leading the Credit Union's digital member experience. This position works closely with the Digital Branch Manager to support digital service delivery, electronic account services, digital banking support, electronic lending activities, and member issue resolution while helping ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and consistent service quality across all digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • Support & Develop People
    • Afford coaching, mentoring, and development to a high-performing Digital Services team.
    • Reinforce a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
    • Support employees in meeting individual and team goals.
    • Help recognize employee accomplishments and contribute to development opportunities.
  • Assist in Ensuring Exceptional Member Experiences
    • Ensure members receive timely, accurate, and professional service across all digital channels.
    • Help resolve complex member concerns and service requests.
    • Support a consultative approach to identify member needs and connect them with appropriate solutions.
    • Reinforce North Star's commitment to delivering world-class member experiences.
  • Drive Operational Excellence
    • Support oversight of Digital Branch operations, including service levels, productivity, quality, and performance metrics.
    • Aid in digital account opening, electronic account services, digital banking support, and electronic lending activities.
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology utilization, and service delivery.
    • Support compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Shape the Future of Digital Banking
    • Champion North Star's digital-first service strategy.
    • Partner with leaders throughout the organization to enhance member experiences and operational effectiveness.
    • Support innovative solutions that improve convenience, accessibility, and engagement for members.
    • Help position North Star as a leader in digital member service.

Requirements

We're seeking a collaborative professional who combines operational knowledge with a strong desire to support leadership and serve members. Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Two to four years of experience in financial services, digital banking, contact center operations, retail banking, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to support leadership, coach team members, and contribute to employee development.
  • Experience supporting performance standards, service expectations, and operational goals.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending, deposit products, and digital banking services, including technical systems and platforms.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to employee engagement, continuous improvement, and exceptional member service.
