Assistant Dietary Manager/Head Cook

About the role

Edenbrook Platteville, a well-established and trusted provider in the skilled nursing space located in Platteville, WI, and a proud member of the Eden Senior Care Network, is seeking an Assistant Dietary Manager/Head Cook to support the Dietary Manager and provide the best nutritious meals for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily production list
• Ensure that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period
• Verify that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portions servings correctly
• Keep kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized
• Place food and supply orders as directed
• Receive product, then verify the invoice and freshness of merchandise
• Hire and train employees to company standards
• Set excellent customer service and work examples
• Actively participate as a member of the management team
• Manage staffing levels throughout shift under the general direction of the Director of Food and Beverage
• Oversee kitchen labor and food cost to budgetary requirements

Requirements

• Must be ServSafe Certified or willing to obtain
• Must have at least one (1) of the following certificates:
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
  • Certified Food Service Protection Certificate
  • Certified Food Manager
• Customer service oriented
• Experienced in long-term care preferred
• Able to communicate well in both verbal and written forms
• Committed to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other staff
