Assistant Dietary Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations within the department
• Assist in managing food service employees - scheduling, hiring, performance management
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make only authorized food substitutes
• Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders
• Work as a cook or dietary aide in absence of staff
• Work some weekends
• Work some evening shifts

Qualifications

• Previous long-term care experience is desirable
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
• Strong verbal and listening skills
• Multi-tasking skills
• Passion for helping others
• Excellent customer service
• Teamwork qualities
• Dependability
• Reliability
