Assistant Designer, Wrangler Traditional Women's Denim

Responsibilities

• Aid the Design team in the development and design of seasonal product lines and special projects.
• Design and develop product lines including fabric, trims, artwork, and overall style details.
• Enter and track all virtual and physical prototypes.
• Support the team in building Design presentations and decks.
• Create and maintain Design cad sheets.
• Develop and maintain Design Development Tracker.
• Work with the Designer to approve washes, trims, color labdips, strike-offs, and handlooms.
• Build out cad sheets for the line assortment.
• Build out wash briefs and request for new wet and dry processes.
• Take notes in proto and fit reviews and any other key milestone meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, art, graphics or equivalent experience preferred.
• One year professional experience and/or training in apparel design.
• Illustration skills – hand sketch and Illustrator capabilities, and good color sense.
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge/experience required.
• Familiarity with V-Stitcher/3D design – preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to think creatively, focus on details, and produce high-quality work.
• Highly organized and capable of appropriate communication.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities – flexible and agile with time and responsibilities.
• Positive attitude and outlook, and a team player.
