About the role

This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.

Responsibilities

  • Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
  • Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company's retail philosophy
  • Drive and teach the company's retail philosophy
  • Direct and assist in processing merchandise to the showroom floor
  • Communicate inventory needs to management
  • Stock and tag merchandise displays as required
  • Present 'how-to' classes to customers
  • Follow cash, check, and charge card acceptance procedures
  • Answer the telephone according to guidelines
  • Validate all product placement and pricing within the department
  • Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner
  • Assist customers with product questions and selections
  • Process customers at checkout using the point of sale (POS) system
  • Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
  • Communicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates in a timely manner
  • Complete all product specialist certification courses
  • Ensure the overall merchandising, pricing, and organization of the department
  • Complete industrial truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification
  • Communicate with management about inventory needs

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding and compliance with the company’s safe lifting practices standard operating procedures
  • Thorough understanding of merchandise and installation
  • Ability to drive and teach the company's retail philosophy
  • Completion of all product specialist certification courses
  • Knowledge of store hours and working conditions

Pay

Pay Range: $18.25 - $27.15

Schedule

Store Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
