Assistant Deli Manager Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Absorb and assist in achieving sales and gross profit targets
• Maintain and control department supplies, inventory, and prevent shrinkage
• Ensure full compliance with the Department Ordering Manual
• Maintain and monitor product quality, rotation, and temperature
• Stock and merchandise all department products
• Maintain a sanitary department environment across all areas
• Operate deli equipment efficiently
• Prepare salads using approved Gerrity’s recipes
• Organize and manage the department efficiently
• Complete required administrative tasks like A/P, logs, and ads
• Communicate departmental goals and share accountability
• Be present at the workstation during the shift
• Comply with safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Follow the Customer Service Pledge
• Attend work regularly
• Comply with and enforce policies in the Employee Handbook

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Capable of calculating figures and amounts, including weights
• No minimum educational requirement
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
• Close, distant, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
• At least 18 years old
