Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.

About the Role

The Assistant Dean of the School of Technology, Arts, Sciences & Health reports to the Dean and provides operational leadership and support for the School and its personnel, students, programs, and services. The programs of study within this unit are: Creative and Information Technologies, Arts and Sciences, Culinary Arts, and Nursing.

Requirements

  • Credentials necessary to qualify as a faculty member for one of the School’s programs; graduate degree(s) highly preferred. Individuals with alternate combinations of credentials and/or experience may be considered.
  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Three or more years of progressive experience in collaborative management and leadership; experience in higher education administration preferred.
  • Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • Knowledge of and experience in working with technology.
  • Ability to research and interpret federal, state, and institutional policies.
  • Understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing higher education; comprehension of land-grant colleges and universities preferred.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility, and judgment.
  • Understanding of qualitative and quantitative data analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively with and promote diverse populations.
  • Superior interpersonal skills—including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, exercise decorum in all interactions with stakeholders, and ability to effectively recognize and mitigate conflict.
