Key Responsibilities
Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing students throughout their academic journey. Provide guidance related to academic progression, professional development, and institutional policies.
Meet with students to discuss course-load adjustments, extended leaves, and course drop requests.
Develop campus-specific initiatives to improve student retention and graduation rates. Coordinate tutoring, academic support services, and counseling resources.
Oversee end-of-term student advising, including support for students repeating courses and creating revised academic schedules.
Oversee NCLEX preparation initiatives and track student performance outcomes. Coordinate tutoring programs, study groups, and academic support services.
Develop and implement individualized remediation plans for students needing additional support.
Manage processes related to graduation and NCLEX preparation resources. Participate in the admissions process, including applicant interviews, evaluations, and recommendations.
Foster an environment that supports both student and faculty academic growth. Collaborate with faculty and campus leadership to support student success initiatives.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Nursing required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in education or academic leadership.
Strong student service and mentorship skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to track student outcomes and maintain accurate records.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
Passion for supporting nursing students and their professional development.
