About the role
The Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) is seeking an Assistant Dean for Advancement to support the Dean in various strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support the Dean in expanding partnerships and driving organizational effectiveness.
- Elevate the School's academic and philanthropic profile through external engagement and advancement efforts.
- Guide implementation of school-wide initiatives and strengthen operational alignment.
- Lead cross-functional projects that enhance fundraising capability, visibility, impact, agility, and efficiency.
- Handle confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders, including international organizations and global partners.
- Manage complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed academic or mission-driven environment.
- Develop and implement philanthropic engagement, donor relations, and advancement strategies.
- Apply operational improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and design thinking.
- Ensure successful management of multiple projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in management and an advisory leadership role.
- A Master of Business Administration (or equivalent Master's) with a focus in higher education administration, business, organizational management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including international organizations and global partners.
- Proven track record in philanthropic engagement, donor relations, and advancement strategy.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed academic or mission-driven environment.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
- Experience with operational improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and design thinking.

Benefits
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and internal pay comparison.
Pay
Minimum $188,025.00
Maximum $263,275.00
Schedule
Full-Time/Regular
