About the role
To plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with specific activities, routines, and/or games for all participants.
- Affords assistance with demonstrations, classroom management, student support, and class preparation.
- Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in the program.
- Manages all equipment to ensure safety.
- Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
- Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
- Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referring to appropriate person.
- Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
- Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in program area.
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in classes and activities.
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
